Fourth Grade: The Art of Florida
Thursdays and Fridays
This tour features the museum's collection of art created in and about Florida. The history of Florida from the Timucuan Indians to Spanish exploration to statehood will be discussed. Paintings, watercolors, prints, and drawings will also illustrate the themes of tourism and the natural environment. An updated art activity and time in the museum's gardens and interactive center will reinforce learning. This tour supports standards in the visual arts, social studies, and science.
