The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens is home to four special collections. The Dennis C. Hayes Collection of 190 Japanese woodblock prints entered The Cummer's permanent collection in 1998, a gift of Mr. Dennis C. Hayes of Atlanta. The Eugène Louis Charvot Collection of nineteenth-century prints and paintings entered The Cummer in 1999 as a gift from Mrs. Yvonne Charvot Barnett, daughter of the artist, and her family. It is comprised of 19 paintings, 202 works on paper and associated archival material. The James McBey Collection of prints, drawings and watercolors, given to The Cummer by the artist's widow, is one of the largest collections of McBey's work outside of his native Scotland, and contains more than 140 works of art. The Joseph Jeffers Dodge Collection of paintings and drawings was bequeathed to the museum by the artist in 1997. It consists of 48 paintings, 50 drawings, photographs, and journals.
