What will my child need to bring?
The most important thing for your child to bring is his or her creativity and a desire to learn. Supplies for children's classes are provided by the instructor and are already included in the cost of the class. Have your child dress comfortably and bring a sweater as the museum is kept cool.
Who will be teaching my child's class?
Cummer classes for kids are most often taught by our full-time museum educators, the best art teachers around. In addition, visiting artists are invited to teach classes in a variety of media. All of our instructors are experienced in providing fun and meaningful instruction for children of all ages.
Do you also offer classes for adults?
The Cummer has a full schedule of classes and programs for visitors of all ages. So whether someone is 3 years old or 103 years old, The Cummer has something to offer. Do I need to be an artist to take classes?
Cummer classes are designed to serve both the beginner and the more advanced artist. Class sizes are limited to allow for plenty of one-on-one attention from the instructor. A few of our classes are for those with greater experience and this is noted in the class description.
