Wednesdays and Thursdays
The subjects of paintings may be grouped into categories that include still life, interior, landscape, and cityscape. Through direct observation and discussion of works ranging from a sumptuous tabletop still life to the painted skyline of Brooklyn, students will learn the classifications of works of art. A visit to the gardens and a collage activity in the art studio are included. This tour supports standards in the visual arts and social studies.
