About the Up & Cummers

Who are the Up & Cummers (U&C)? We're young. Perhaps professional leaders. Perhaps leading the professional ladder climb. We're under 40... over 21. Singles. Dads. Moms. Local business owners. Artists. Or simply interested in art. Membership to U&C offers the opportunity to network with other like-minded people interested in expanding their cultural awareness via the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens. Monthly social and artucational (read fun!) events, such as What is Art? and Art After Hours, hosted in the Museum make us one of the most buzzed about young groups in Jax. Not that membership is just high spirits. Income from U&C membership and ticketed events help fund vital educational programming held annually at The Cummer.

How to Get Involved

In addition to membership, U&C offers many volunteer and sponsorship opportunities. If you are a local business interested in sponsorship packages for the What is Art? or Art After Hours events, or an individual interested in serving on any of the following committees, please contact Emily Magevney at 899-6027 or emagevney@cummer.org.

Special Events Committee: Plan What is Art?, Art After Hours and other social events.

PR and Media Committee: Promote U&C events and activities.

Membership Committee: Recruit new members and cultivate existing members.

Artistic Affairs Committee: Help choose themes and artists for What is Art? events.

Development Committee: Recruit cash and in-kind sponsors for What is Art? and Art After Hours events.
