Painted Butterflies! Students will visit the gallery to explore the work of local artist Jim Draper and then return to the studio to create their own painted butterflies.

Florida Marsh Landscapes! Students will compare landscapes from the Museum's permanent collection with those of local artist Jim Draper and then create their own version of a Florida marsh watercolor landscape.
March 9
Glorious Garden Watercolors! Students will celebrate Garden Month by painting “en plein air “ in the Cummer Gardens.
April 13
A Royal Collage Fit for a King! Students will visit the Tsar’s Cabinet exhibit to explore royal decorative arts and porcelain pottery and then return to the studio to create a metallic rubbings pottery collage.

Get a Bird’s Eye View! Design your own garden plan. Students will visit the Cummer Garden and learn about the elements of mapmaking and then return to the studio to create their own mixed media ariel garden map.

Fabulous Florida Prints! Students will explore the La Florida exhibit and return to the studio to create a collagraph print with designs and images inspired by the Sunshine State.

Pedal to the Metal! Students will explore the Art of the Automobile exhibit and learn about the elements of car design. Students will then return to the studio and create their own automobile artwork.

Under the Hood! Students will use tools to create an automobile inspired collage.

Fabulous Florida Prints! Students will explore the La Florida exhibit and return to the studio to create a collagraph print with designs and images inspired by the Sunshine State.
July 13
Pedal to the Metal! Students will explore the Art of the Automobile exhibit and learn about the elements of car design. Students will then return to the studio and create their own automobile artwork.
August 10
Under the Hood! Students will use tools to create an automobile inspired collage.
September 14
All About Me! Student will examine portraits in the permanent collection and create their own painted self-portrait.
October 12
Let’s Make Music! Students will look for musial instruments in the artwork of the permanent collection. Students will then return to the studio to create a contour drawing and watercolor.
November 9
Lights, Camera, Abstraction! Students will explore the Modern Dialect exhibit and then return to the studio to create their own abstract painting with shapes, lines, and bright colors.
December 14
Incredible Arrangements! Students will examine still life paintings from the permanent collection and create their own painted paper still life collage.

Florida Marsh Landscapes! Students will compare landscapes from the Museum's permanent collection with those of local artist Jim Draper and then create their own version of a Florida marsh watercolor landscape.

Glorious Garden Watercolors! Students will celebrate Garden Month by painting “en plein air “ in the Cummer Gardens.
April 13
A Royal Collage Fit for a King! Students will visit the Tsar’s Cabinet exhibit to explore royal decorative arts and porcelain pottery and then return to the studio to create a metallic rubbings pottery collage.
