Come make art with your little one and enjoy gallery visits, Garden visits and time in Art Connections. Pre-registration is recommended. Children ages 3 to 5 and their favorite adult.   • Saturday, February 11, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - Something’s Fishy! Learn about the Japanese culture by viewing work from the Japanese Wood Block exhibit then return to the studio to create Gyotako – Japanese fish printing.          
  • Saturday, March 10, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - I Get The Point! After a tour of the Impressionist paintings from The Cummer’s permanent collection and a quick trip to the gardens, paint a garden landscape.
  • Saturday, April 14, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - Let’s Make a Good Impression! Create a still life in the style of Impressionist painters like those featured in High Museum Impressionism exhibit.
  • Saturday, May 12, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - Print Like The Japanese! Learn about the Japanese culture by viewing work from the Japanese Wood Block exhibit then re-create your own version in our studios.
  • Saturday, June 9, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - Glorious Gardens! Explore the decorative elements in The Cummer Garden then design your own fountain or statue with watercolor.
  • Saturday, July 14, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM -  It’s POP Art! Help celebrate the new acquisitions by modern artist, Andy Warhol by creating your own pop art using block print methods.
  • Saturday, August 11, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - Look At You! Explore the art of Mexico in the Miradas: Ancient Roots in Modern and Contemporary Mexican Art: Works from the Bank of America Collection exhibition then create a self-portrait using printmaking techniques.
  • Saturday, September 8, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - Floral Fun! See examples of floral still life from The Cummer’s permanent collection then return to the studio to paint your own masterpiece.
  • Saturday, October 13, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - Disguise Yourself! Learn about symmetry in art and create an oil pastel mask inspired by the works included in the Lois Mailou Jones: A Life in Vibrant Color and Histories in Africa: 20 Years of Photography by Liz Gilbert exhibitions.

Come make art with your little one and enjoy gallery visits, Garden visits and time in Art Connections. Pre-registration is recommended. Children ages 3 to 5 and their favorite adult.   • Saturday, January 14, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - Starry, Starry Night Cityscape! After looking at cityscapes in The Cummer’s collection, create your own cityscape collage.
  • Saturday, February 11, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - Something’s Fishy! Learn about the Japanese culture by viewing work from the Japanese Wood Block exhibit then return to the studio to create Gyotako – Japanese fish printing.          
  • Saturday, March 10, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - I Get The Point! After a tour of the Impressionist paintings from The Cummer’s permanent collection and a quick trip to the gardens, paint a garden landscape.
  • Saturday, April 14, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - Let’s Make a Good Impression! Create a still life in the style of Impressionist painters like those featured in High Museum Impressionism exhibit.
  • Saturday, May 12, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - Print Like The Japanese! Learn about the Japanese culture by viewing work from the Japanese Wood Block exhibit then re-create your own version in our studios.
  • Saturday, June 9, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - Glorious Gardens! Explore the decorative elements in The Cummer Garden then design your own fountain or statue with watercolor.
  • Saturday, July 14, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM -  It’s POP Art! Help celebrate the new acquisitions by modern artist, Andy Warhol by creating your own pop art using block print methods.
  • Saturday, August 11, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - Look At You! Explore the art of Mexico in the Miradas: Ancient Roots in Modern and Contemporary Mexican Art: Works from the Bank of America Collection exhibition then create a self-portrait using printmaking techniques.
  • Saturday, September 8, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - Floral Fun! See examples of floral still life from The Cummer’s permanent collection then return to the studio to paint your own masterpiece.
  • Saturday, October 13, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - Disguise Yourself! Learn about symmetry in art and create an oil pastel mask inspired by the works included in the Lois Mailou Jones: A Life in Vibrant Color and Histories in Africa: 20 Years of Photography by Liz Gilbert exhibitions.

  • Saturday, November 10, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM - Out of Africa Landscapes! Explore the photographs in the Histories in Africa: 20 Years of Photography by Liz Gilbert exhibition and then create African landscapes with animals and plant life.
